With all that has happened in our Country over the last few years, it is tempting to withdraw from everything, and hide our heads in the sand. Or if we don’t hide, we often find ourselves seeking someone to lash out at, and take the brunt of our anger and frustration.
We are all stressed out. We are all frightened and angry with the state of our economy, the state of our government, with the lack of leadership, and the lack of hope. But we have to be very careful that we not take out all these emotions on those who are not the cause of it all.
Instead we need to remember what Christ taught us:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, in order that you may be sons (and daughters) of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect”. Matthew 5:43-48
With that in mind, this site is dedicated to teaching how to love.
